Editorial: Amy Witt for MN Women's Press

Today I photographed Amy for a feature in the Minnesota Women's Press about people who are getting creative during difficult economic times. She was so kind and easy to photograph and her sister, who's house she was painting, offered me a bag of organic lettuce from her garden at the end of the shoot!

Connie Hill: Mystery Book Editor

Connie Hill works is a Senior Editor at Llewellyn Worldwide Publishers in Woodbury and is featured in the upcoming issue on the MN Women's Press. I had a wonderful time getting to know her and hearing her story of how she came to be an editor. She gave me two books at the end of our shoot that she had worked on/contributed to, which was so generous of her. Every shoot I do with the MN Women's Press is an opportunity to meet an interesting and inspiring person.

Portraits: Vic Passante

I photographed Vic Passante, my high school theatre teacher for an honorary plaque in the new Oconomowoc Arts Center. We decided to shoot in the old auditorium where he directed many shows. I was in a few of those shows, so it was really fun to go back and shoot in the space with him. He's an incredible teacher and a good friend.

(I saw this old pencil sharpener in the boiler room we had to go through to set the alarm for the building after the shoot.)
