Memory of Place : DC

I love that my series "Memory of Place" just continues so naturally. It consists of moments in my life that happen when life is just... happening.
I spent this weekend in DC photographing a wedding. We went out early to have some time to enjoy the city with good friends. We had coffee and breakfast in the morning, listened to This American Life, talked about books and life...we walked to the neighborhood farmers market and smelled the most amazing strawberries-the first of the season for me. We had delicious brick oven pizza and yummy beer with an old friend I hadn't seen in years. All of these moments are so special to me and remind me of why I love to travel. There are always headaches, always unexpected situations that can be stressful but there are also so many beautiful and rich moments that make my life better.

Happy Spring : A Love Session

What do you LOVE to do with the people you love? That is what the LOVE SESSION is all about! These amazing ladies have been friends since college and have regular dinner parties. I came and photographed them doing what they love-chatting, making great food and sipping wine. Contact me if you'd like to do your own LOVE SESSION!

Lindgren Family Session

I had so much fun with this family! The little boys were so playful! We went to Lake of the Isles and explored the grass, lake and paths together. I absolutely LOVE photographing young kids because their imagination is so strong and all they want to do is play.

The Neal Family!

Marie and I connected through the Blooming in Uganda Gala event at The Weisman Art Museum put on by the amazing Blooma team. I donated a family session to the silent auction to raise money for the incredible mission to build a birthing center in Uganda. Marie was the winner of the family session! We got together over the weekend and I got to photograph her beautiful family. You just never know where a connection might happen-I love that!

(she turned around to check on Teddy, her bear. So cute!)
