China Revisited

In 2005 I lived in Shanghai, China for 7 months. I explored, taught 3rd grade, took photos, traveled, ate, wrote and learned about myself. It was a truly life-changing experience! In honor of the new year I decided to dust some of them off and rework them a bit. Enjoy!

A new technique!

I am trying a new technique to make images look weathered and have a vintage feeling. I am in love with texture, so this is an aesthetic party for me.

Jenni and Jason's Engagement Session

Jenni and Jason were such good sports to brave the cold weather with me on New Year's Eve! They were great at keeping each other warm and running around to find good spots for photos. I realized Jason didn't have gloves on halfway through the shoot. Thanks you two!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2009! I for one am so excited about starting a new year. 2008 was great in many ways and I look forward to building on everything that happened and closing those doors that need to be closed. A lovely friend of mine, Betsy, shared something her and her sister like to do every New Year's. Choose 3 words that represent the last year and three that represent the new. I love this! Here are mine:
2008: challenging, gratitude, rewarding
2009: passionate creations, journey, open and giving love (ok, stretched that one!)

I wish you all a New Year full of love, good health, inspiration and passion.

with gratitude,
Emma
