This is the third year in a row I've gotten to photograph the Take Action MN Progressive Awards Dinner. Without fail, this event is inspiring, motivating and full of incredible people all working towards common progressive values. I mean, when you get 850 progressives in ONE room, great things are bound to happen. I love it. And it wouldn't be an event without great dancing afterwards!

Blooming in Uganda Gala!
I was honored to be part of this incredible event at The Weisman Art Museum that Sarah Longacre, founder and owner of Blooma, a prenatal yoga studio, dreamed up. Her goal is to raise $20,000 to fund the creation of a birthing center in Uganda. This was a fundraiser to try to reach that goal and what an incredible evening it was. From the musicians, to the food, to the silent auction items, to the speakers (Krista Tippett from NPR's 'Speaking of Faith' and Matthew Sanford, author of 'Waking')...the room was alive with so much positive energy for this project. If you want to support the Blooming in Uganda project or know someone who does, please visit www.blooma.com/uganda for more information.
